Lansdowne Road

Livingston Eyre were part of the team appointed to prepare a planning submission for this mixed-use development in Croydon.  Comprising a hotel, apartments and offices, it features two linked towers, the highest at 55 storeys, and a variety of communal and private roof-gardens.

At ground level, a public colonnade – lined with bars, cafes and restaurants – is enhanced by tree planting, which provides shelter, scale and interest.  A small public square at the rear is enlivened by fountains and seating terraces.

At all levels, the design takes its cue from the curvaceous bronze bands of the facade, both in form and by employing a palette of high-quality materials. Trees with shiny mahogany-coloured bark were included to continue the theme.
